Hall Bower Athletic Club & Institute Ltd holds personal data of members, including name, address, phone number, email and age for the purpose of communication and also has a legal obligation to keep a register of members and only admit persons over 18 years old.
For group communication via email we will use your name and email address on a web based email server. We will use the Bcc function, so the details are not visible to others who receive the same communication. If you do not wish to receive these emails you can make a request to the Secretary to be removed from the circulation lists.
We keep the personal information we hold private and secure and only made available to those who have legitimate access to it. Members should give notice to the secretary about any changes of address, phone or email and the accuracy of the data will be checked upon payment of the annual subscription. Members can request to see what information we hold about them at any time. This must be done in writing to the Club Secretary and there will be no charge made. Members can also make a written request for their data to be altered or removed from our records.
When someone ceases to be a member, we will only retain their data for a period of 6 years, after which it will be deleted from our records.
