Contrary to the message sent out last week, the Club will now be open Tuesdays, 15th and 22nd January – we have a volunteer to do the bar!
The Club will be hosting a series of live music nights over the coming months as follows:-
Saturday, 20th October: The return of Ryan Noble (his third appearance)
Saturday, 24th November: The Rectory Street Band
Saturday, 15th December: Nowheremen
Saturday, 26th January: Bluestrings
Saturday, 23rd February: Dom & Kieran
The Club will usually open from 7.30pm on these nights unless otherwise stated nearer the date.
Further details and links available on the Club website: https://hallbower.wordpress.com/
From this week, the regular opening time on Sunday afternoons will change from 2.00pm to 3.00pm. The Club may still open earlier on occasion, but this will be advertised in advance.
From 12 noon on Saturday, 3rd March until 12 noon on Sunday, 4th March 2018, the Club will be hosting a Pool Marathon. Everyone is welcome to come and join in. We will be asking for a small donation with all money going to the Hall Bower Defibrillator Fund (See Facebook Page ). There will be games and prizes throughout the day, including a ‘Speed Pool’ competition which will start at about 8.00pm. Food will be available throughout the day, but we will be closing the bar from 11.00pm until noon the next day. Following the event on the Sunday afternoon there will be live music from local band ‘Hokum’.
From November 2017, the Club opening hours on a Sunday will change from the usual 8.30pm-11.00pm and will now open between 2.00pm-7.00pm. The Club may still open during the evening occasionally, depending on availability of bar staff.
Thank you to all our customers, sponsors and of course the bands for your support at the Hall Bower Beer Festival this year.
Also a very personal and heartfelt thanks to all you volunteers who have turned out and given your time and hard work for no material reward. It is what makes the Beer Festival a great event, seeing so many people come together and doing their bit to help because of love for the place or the people involved.

Every now and then we hold a craft evening at the club. Last month we learnt how to do silk painting which was very successful! This month we are holding a workshop learning how to Lino Cut/Print.
The workshop will be on the 8th May at 7.30 and will cost £10. Any one who is interested please let us know in advance as we only have 5 places left. £10 fee may be paid on the night.
